Terms of Service

These terms of service ("Terms") apply to your access and use of YAWYE — You Are What You Eat AI(the "Service"), including our website and mobile applications. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Not medical advice

YAWYE — You Are What You Eat AI provides AI-generated estimates of calories, macronutrients and health scores based on photos of food, plus playful "food identity" content for entertainment. These are estimates, not measurements, and they are not medical, dietary or nutritional advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making decisions about your diet or health, especially if you have a medical condition, allergy or dietary requirement. Do not rely on the Service to detect allergens or ingredients.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and login methods (email code, Google, or Apple sign-in). You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or attempt to circumvent usage limits.

Subscriptions and purchases

Meal analysis beyond any free allowance requires an active subscription purchased through the Apple App Store (and, in future, Google Play). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled and are managed, billed and refunded exclusively by the app store you purchased through, under that store's terms. Prices may change; changes apply from your next billing period. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos you upload. By uploading a photo you grant us a licence to store and process it (including via third-party AI providers) to provide the Service. Only upload photos you have the right to share. Do not upload photos of people, illegal content, or anything unrelated to food — we may remove content and restrict accounts that misuse the analysis pipeline.

Public share links

When you share a meal, we create a public link containing the photo, the estimated nutrition and the generated identity. Anyone with the link can view it. Private coaching details (your diet, goals and alignment notes) are never included in shared pages. You can delete a meal at any time, which disables its share link.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or probe the Service or its AI pipeline;
  • Use bots or automation to submit photos or create accounts;
  • Resell or commercially exploit the Service or its outputs without permission;
  • Upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content;
  • Circumvent subscription checks or usage limits.

Fair use and personal use only

The Service, including any subscription, is intended solely for personal, non-commercial consumer use through our official apps and website. Accessing the Service by any other means is strictly prohibited. Usage that is abnormal, excessive, or inconsistent with ordinary personal use of the app may be treated as abuse. If we determine, at our sole discretion, that your account is being used in violation of this section, we may suspend or terminate your account and cancel your subscription immediately, without notice and without refund.

Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we may modify or discontinue features at any time. AI analysis may occasionally fail or produce inaccurate results.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or losses arising from reliance on AI-generated estimates. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Please check this page periodically.
